Completely Dumbfounded!
Completely Dumbfounded!
Hello fellow Dodge people!
A couple of months ago my truck began revving on its own while driving, I checked around on a couple places and found to clean the batter cables. I did and the problem went away for a couple months. It is now back. I can't pinpoint any certain time that it does it as it does it at different times. Even if I take it out of overdrive it will still rev up. Yesterday at a light, I went to take off and with gas pedal to the floor it did nothing. After a few pumps it decided to take off. Very scary as my 3 year old daughter was in the truck as well. I have spent a couple of hours researching everyones posts on here and now am even more confused. I do know enough about mechanics to fix it but after hearing all the different tthings it could be I am lost. I have a 2000 2500 Diesel 4x4.
FYI... I did take the TPS out yesterday and the check engine light came on. I put it back in reset the check engine light, took it to the auto parts house and they read ther codes and found nothing..
Any guidance would be more than appreciated!!!!
