Cold performance problem

I have a 2002 5sp stick. In the morning for about 3-4 minutes, it will only go about 20 mph. Then it will take off and run perfect. If I disconnect the temp sensor plug, it runs good all the time, but the temp guage goes all the way to HOT and the check engine light stays on. Also, at times at speed it will bogg down. If I push in the clutch and rev the engine, it will clear up and run right.
The vacuum pump has an oil leak on the rear seal. Do you know a good place to buy this?

Sounds like you have a bad vp44. About $1100 for a new one.

Do a search on this site about vacuum seal removal and you WILL find the part # and how to do the job, search engine is on the top of the page!
BTW if you dont know what a VP44 is you really should sit down and read a little, most folks will not even bother to answer your post if you cant take the time to attempt some kind of effort on your part.
I'm not trying to come off as a smart a$$, but it does get tiring on forums when you can see people post with no effort to look, its a different story if you try and cant find the help you need as just about everyone will bend overbackwards to help you.

if you are talking about the temp sensor right behind the water neck. Change it out.

This is one of the sensors that the ecm uses for timing reference in relation to engine temp. the part is cheap, and worth changing. It can also cause some pretty goofy idle and driveability problems.

Thanks...I'll change this ASAP. Do you know where I can get a Vacuum pump reasonable, or the seal kit?
