Is there a scanner that will read the codes of engine and brakes on our trucks that I won't have to mortgage the house to get?
I've already found one that doesn't even read the engine codes but that was autoparts loaner so I was out no $$$
The party line is if it is ODBII compliant it will read the codes.....but they will also respect me in the morning and the check is in the mail. It's an expensive toy but if I can use it to save a few $$ in the long run then I can make my wife happy.

 

On ebay a cp9135 goes for about $50.00. It reads and erases codes but I don't know if it read brakes codes.

imo a can/obd code reader is a little better cauz not all newer cars and trucks use obdii i got the one from wally world for $100 and it reads my trucks and wifeys gmc which has can.
