Code P0753

Today my truck set this error code. I did a search and found nothing.

P0753 Trans 3–4 Shift Sol/Trans Relay Circuits

Anyone know anything about this code. My truck has 80,000 miles

Thanks, Carlton

P0753 Trans 3-4 Shift Sol/Trans Relay Circuits
An open or shorted condition detected in the overdrive
solenoid control circuit or Trans Relay Circuit in JTEC RE
transmissions. Was MIL code 45.

P0753 Trans 3-4 Shift Sol/Trans Relay Circuits
An open or shorted condition detected in the transmission
2-4 shift solenoid circuit (4-speed auto. trans. only).

Does your trans. shift all 4 gears and lock up the torque converter ok?

Yes, the transmission works fine. I revved up the engine to about 3000 rpm while in neutral, then the code was set. I then drove it for several miles and it works ok.

Thanks for the info.

Maybe the computer thought the trans was supposed to be in gear while you had it reved. I know very little about trans. and even less about computer logic.
