Code p0500
P0500 No Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal
From http://www.troublecodes.net/chrysler/96-01.shtml
Should go away after the problem is corrected.
Could be either the sensor on the rear differential or on the transmission if the 6speeds have one.
I got that code when I had my Truespeed installed and one of the wires came disconnected.
My speedometer and odometer quit working though, so was a dead giveaway as to what happened.

I have the same trouble code but havent had a chace to rectify it yet.....the sensor is on the diff - pull it off and clean the contacts....
It may be cleared by pulling off both battery cables and letting it sit for a couple of hours.....that should prolly take care of it.

I got this code because my abs light kept comming on whenever i hit a rough spot on the highway, temps were extremely cold (-30c) abs light always went out after restarting engine, hasn't happened again since the return of mild weather (-20c)
, havn't bothered to try and clear it yet, maby in the spring. Winter aint over yet.
