Clutch Pedal Goes to floor

Sometimes here recently my clutch pedal will go all the way to the floor and not disengage the clutch. What all could cause this? There is plenty of fluid and the level doesn't change. Bad master/slave cylinder possibly?

Sounds like you answered your own question. NOTE, as best I remember, they must be repalced as a unit and bled off the truck.

Phooey. IIRC I think the SBC unit come sealed and doesn't have to be bled.

Let me know if they come sealed and don't need to be bled cause I'm looking at getting one of their units soon and that would be nice if I didn't have to go thru the hassel of bleeding it. My master cyl. is leaking out around the pushrod going to my pedal. Knock on wood, its still working, but it moves real rough and my shifting is getting real notchy (worse than stock)...almost to the point that I gotta double clutch it all the time.

I upgraded my hydraulics a while back, when i did my 13" SBC. My factory hyd. had been replaced by previous owner, so they aren't too old. They look good and were in good working order when I removed them. If you want them, PM me.

SBC does not have to be bled. All you have to remember is that they clock into the firewall.

The SBC hydraulics I bought in 06 come in two pieces, but do not need to be bled.

I think they all come as one piece now.

Any Idea how much the stock setup cost compared to SBC's?

The Last SBC unit I put on was two piece, with a snap together fitting, and did not need bled.

Installed the SBC unit this weekend. not completely happy.

The good:
It works!
Did not need to be bled.
Adjustable!

The bad:
No instructions. (it was fairly straight-forward but still)
Had to remove stock rubber grommet off of old one and put on new one to get it to fit tight.
Length of hose was BARELY long enough to work 6 more inches would have been perfect.

Overall it is working good and fixed it but fitment was not like stock on my 01'. Otherwise I can see how this upgrade can allow people to hold those big dual disks in place to slip them for boosted launches. If I have to do one again it will be much easier.
