You cannot use the check valve to control the pressure but you can use a pressure regulator like the Simflo to control the pressure. I very highly recommend installing a pressure regulator. It will greatly increase the life of a stock lift pump.

i dont have a stock lift pump i have a high flow one put on the frame rail. i have 20psi at the IP pump and it makes the truck have hot hard start. whats the best inline regulator and are they preset or do i have to sdjust them. i have the bd max power? i think. they said it has a regulator built in but i think you need to take it apart and change things to adjust it

The Simflo regulator works well and I think it will easily handle 20psi. The Simflo can handle the flow from a Walbro 392 and they put out 60psi plus.

I bought mine from

The Simflo regulator is adjusted by taking it apart, but it is easy to do.
