check engine light
Ok, so I got a check engine light on now and the truck doesn't run any differently. I don't know what it is and thought I remembered seeing a way to check your codes inside the truck with the odometer or something. Is there and is there a list of what the codes are?
Thanks.
P.S. it is the truck listed in signature.
oh, and I did search

On a 2001 you can do the key on/off trick.
Turn ignition key to on, (just on, don't start)
then off,
then on,
then off,
then on again.
Leave on and watch the odometer window.
Will do a P-PCU, then either the code or P-Done.
Then P-ECU, then either the code(s) or P-Done,
then it will go back to normal odometer.
If all you see are the P-Done's, then you don't have any codes that are retrievable by that method.
Some codes can only be pulled with a OBD tool (scanner).
If you see any codes, preceded by a "P", check the "tech facts" for a listing of them.

Crap, after a little searching, I found out what it is...
Anyone wanna advise on the removal of the Edge Comp to hide any damage to the pump wire or do you think I need to worry about the wire. (i know I need to remove the box)

Most dealer techs inspect the pumps pretty close. If the wire has been tampered with DC will kick back the warranty claim and the service department will eat it. There were a number of bullitins on this a few years ago. Lets see.....gauges, big exhaust, cool down timer....where there's smoke there is usually fire!!

Is there a way to replace the wire into the harness to where there would be no visible sign of tampering? My warranty is not DC, it's aftermarket like wynns or something like that.

How many miles do you have on the truck? It's an '01 so it's still inside the 5 yr window and if it's got under 100k on it, it is still under warranty from Dodge....... unless the original warranty has already been voided.

My truck has 51,000 miles on it. The factory warranty that I had was only 3yr/36,000 miles. I'm pretty sure anyways. Is there a reason that would not apply? I know that the warranty period got extended shortly after I bought the truck, it doesn't retro does it?
