CEL light on while going down ramp

Had to back truck and 30 ft trailer down the ramp and onto the ferry this evening. Guessing maybe 7-8% grade. Maybe more. Backing down went really slow. Once on boat notices the CEL was on. Tried to pull codes but I think the edge juice/attitude prevents it. They would not run. Any idea what would throw a code doing that? I figure it has to be something with oil pressure.

You would have to be almost empty on oil for that to be a problem. 8% is not all that much of a grade. It always feels worse than it is, especially going backwards. You can disconnect the batteries for a half hour or more and then reconnect and that should wipe out any codes that were set. I would disconnect the Edge and pull the codes so you know what it is just in case it is important. Hopefully it is not related to your fuel pressure issue from your other post. That would be why I would want to see it.

0500 is a skim key I think. Do you have any other keys on there that could interfere with the transponder encoded key for the truck. perhaps the angle moved the other key too close.

A 500 depends on your reference material. Some say sensor 1, some say sensor A, some say no speed sensor reading. no matter, it is a speed sensor code.
