Case cover remove and seal replace

After removing the puke bottle, still getting a lot of oil. Have not checked the vacuum pump, but by visual inspection, it appears the crankshaft seal is to blame.
How long of a job is this? Guessing about 2 hours?

2002 with 235k miles (original seal).

Thanks

Have you been able to visually confirm where the oil is coming from? I recently chased a nasty oil leak for a while until I was finally able to see where is coming from by laying under the truck while it was running and searching around with a good light.

Puke bottle was moved. Snugged all oil pan bolts. Suspected either the cover "gasket", seal, or vacuum pump. The oil appears engine oil not power steering fluid. And the oil seams to originate from behind the harmonic balancer. I guess the pump could be spraying in a manner to get the front lower part of the cover. Lastly, after 4000 to 5000 miles, oil is about half qt low on dip stick.

Clean it off really good and dust it with baby powder. The origin of your leak will be obvious....
