carter liftpump

carter liftpump

I noticed carter makes a liftoump for a 2002 DODGE i live in pahrump nevada no fass dealer i noticed carter had a repacement liftpump i could change myself my question does carter make a good lift pump replacement. thank you in advance gor your help

I think that Carter will work just fine, especially if you bypass the overflow using a pressure limiting (overflow) valve or back pressure regulator. Without one it will last just as long as a stock LP. which can be anywhere from years to weeks.

I also line near Vegas (Sandy Valley) I had a Carter pump pusher installed, I'm not sure if this is the same thing as what your talking about, but the pump works fine. The only thing I don't like about it, is that its very noisy, just a constant whine. Its mounted against the frame, so I tried installing a thick piece rubber between the frame and pump and its still pretty noisy. If anyone has any ideas on this I'm all ears.........

A Carter is the original lift pump.
I believe NAPA has a direct replacement Carter to accomodate your stock fittings and pump location along with a warranty.

yep mine came in a napa box said carter on it and was exact duplicate of original except used a wire jumper harness to connect.was 120 @Napa here probably could be had for less as I dont usually do buisiness w/them.if you look elsewhere in forum can find simplified inst for replacement,Bill
