Question Can't get injectors out

Gauges and injectors came in yesterday. Installed the gauges, started on the injectors and I can't get them to even budge.

Whats the trick here? I used the air plenum bolt method described in a guide I found on here and they wont lift out.

Realized I might bend one of those bolts so I went down to the hardware store and bought a couple more, ripped the head off one and still no luck

Have you loosened the injector line hold-downs, the injector cross-tube nuts on the driver's side of the cylinder head and pulled the fuel cross-tubes back while popping the injectors out? Did you remove the injector hold-down bars?

if you slightly loosen the injector hold down tubes and pull them away from the the injector a little the injector should come out liek butter..........if its hard to take them out your doing it wrong.........all the cummins i pulled injectors would come out so easy when you took off the tubes....

And the problem was..... (C'mon - remember, confession is good for the soul! )

Seriously, if you'll post how the problem was resolved, the solution can help someone else who is reading these forums.

I haven't taken any pics of it yet. Owned it for about 2 weeks and it's still on
auto trader

Definitely saw a nice improvement in power. Not sure about peak numbers but it certainly felt like it leveled out the power curve, turbo spools up alot faster and the bottom end is a hell of alot stronger. No problems breaking the tires loose now even with the LSD.

Haven't noticed anymore smoke then normal, a little black poof at start up but it did that before I put in the injectors.

It did take about 3 cycles to get it started up for the first time, lots of smoke then and it sounded like a cammed v8 for the first couple of minutes at idle

After driving it around all day, it seems smoother then before and even a little quiter. Like them so far.

Bosch 275/300 I got off ebay for $280

Haven't decided on which exhaust to get yet, probably just a 4" and the sneaker series muffler from source automotive. Intake will be a bhaf and homemade intake tube and I'll probably leave the truck alone after that. Will need to save up for some tranny mods before I get to crazy
