Unhappy Burnt smell in BHAF

Got the truck stuck today out in a field. Spun the tires pretty good before I finally got out. Could smell what I thought was the brakes heating up, or more likely the clutch.
Drove to work without problems, no over heat, normal turbo whine.
After an hour plus, I was out to plug the truck in and I could still smell something.
Sniffed around and the odor is strongest from the BHAF.
Did the clutch/brake odor get absorbed by the filter? Or God help me, did I over temp the turbo? I have not had the chance to pull the inlet to look for any oil leaks.

ON EDIT:
Went out on meal break and pulled the BHAF. Set that aside and there was a very faint smell. Turbo inlet looked fine and spun freely.
Since my wife says I smell every thing to figure out what it is, I took a good whiff of the intake elbow. Yep, there is the smell.
So, I am guessing I smoked the clutch a little and the filter absorbed the odor. Sound plausable?

Went out on meal break and pulled the air filter. There is a faint smell without the filter. I took a whiff inside the elbow with the BHAF on the other end and could smell the odor. Everything looked good in the turbo and it spins freely.
I am guessing I smoked the clutched a little and the odor got sucked in the filter.
Any other thoughts?
