Burnt clutch/brake smell.

Today I got on it going up a hill an when I pulled into the parking lot it smelled like burnt clutch or brakes. This is stange because I have an auto. Could that smell come from the Torque converter? I suspect it could, just never happened before.

If it is the TC, what should I look at doing to prevent it from doing it again?

thanks

If your torque converter stunk like that, you probably would be waiting for a wrecker to come and get you. Have you checked the parking brake? If it has not been used for a while it could have stuck. Next time you smell it, walk around your truck and maybe crawl under it and feel the drums and rotors. Be careful though..... they might be REAL hot!!!!!

I just adjusted my rear brakes the day before maybe the e-brake was sticking. I'll keep an eye one it. Thanks Tom!
