Well I have never posted in this section before but my buddy has a 24 valve problem so i wanted to see if you guys could give me any help.

His truck is a 2002 6spd. if that helps.


So here is what it does.


While driving the idle will go up and down only like 500 rpms and it sounds like it is cutting out. Also the tach will only work sometimes.

He ran codes for it and one code that came up was the crank sensor.


Do you think the sensor is bad????

So any help would be great

 

Depends on the code. Could be the crank sensor, a fault in the wiring harness, or a faulty ECM. He can try and clean the connection first and see if it helps. Then look for a damaged harness. If they don't help, likely the sensor is bad.
