Bucking/surging at mid and hi RPM

So the truck just developed this problem, it almost feels like its starving for fuel at mid and hi RPMs. I had the VP replaced about a year ago with the dealer replaced in-tank lift pump, I've been running 25% WMO (filtered to 1 micron) now that it's been warmer, and I already tried replacing the fuel filter with no results. Anyone have any ideas what might be happening? Thanks!

APPS maybe. Did you check for codes?

I did not check yet. This morning, going to do the key on-off routine and check, then was planning on doing the procedure to reset the apps. We'll see what happens. If I have to replace another VP because that crappy in-tank pump wasn't getting the replacement one enough pressure/volume...

I'll report back. Thanks!

UPDATE: Checked codes, none showing (got the "p-done" right off the bat.) So the batts are disconnected, key is on, and I'll try the APPS reset when I get home from work later today. Stay tuned...

I do not have a fuel pressure gauge. I'm pretty sure now that the VP44 has again gone down for the big dirt nap. The truck won't start at all now, the in-tank LP is running when you bump the starter, and the fuel filter seems to be filled with fuel. Still no codes with the key on-off trick, but I think it's trade-in time. I just can't see sinking another $2k into an 11 year-old truck that I'm now questioning the reliability of. It's a bummer, but it's time.
