breaking in a vp44?

Do you have to break in a vp44? I just installed my new pump and new injectors. I have not hooked up my drag comp and was wanting to know if I should wait or if it even matters.

hook it up and let it rip, generally if a vp is going to fail when tapped, it will be within the first 15 minutes. My first VP failed within 5 minutes of Edge Level 5,lol When I installed the second, I let it start up and run smooth for 10 minutes before I shut it off and plugged in the go box. Why worry, its just money

I tapped mine the day it went in, still going strong 50,000 miles later.
