You can get a set of Chevy 1-ton brake cylinders for the rear end. Quite a bit bigger (27% more area), and cheap to do.

 

GMC one ton wheel cylinders for the rears. $20, a pint of brake fluid, just replace the cylinders (no need to remove the shoes) adjust, hold on to your coffee.

It is a good idea to turn the drums and put on new shoes.
