Just bought a 99 dually ex cab 2wd has new tires ,Jasper trans(auto) with warnette, rebult rear axle,new p/s pump,less than $4000 ,420000 miles ,before i take it out on the road what should i check out.i will keep my 89,wife wanted a nicer truck to pull the 5th wheel with.

Well i would deff get a fuel pressure gauge. Or if you can buy an edge chip it makes the truck a lot nicer to drive. But other then that it has a cummins its good to go haha

 

Get a fuel pressure gage and a needle valve for the gage line. Also I'd get a spare lift pump and a couple of fuel filters and tools to change them. Fan belt, check the coolant, check the brakes etc.
