Bore and Stroke a Cummins?

It seems that with these engines lasting so long in normal service, nobody ever talks about rebuilding them. Since nobody is talking about this very often, I never hear about anyone talking about any customizations or experiments during rebuild. With the new 6.7L Cummins coming out, it has me wondering if a 5.9 can be bored and stroked. I'm thinking that a 2nd gen with a 5.9 bored and stroked to 6.7 L and no emmisons might be mighty fine. Any comments?

Tad

Do a search on here about boring and stroking. There was a good thread a while back on it. Pretty much said it ain't quite worth it on the 5.9. The slight improvement wouldn't be worth the hassle.
