BHAF Question

So how long have you kept a BHAF filter?

Mine is a NAPA brand and I drilled it and installed my filter-minder off the stock air box. The filter minder hasn't budged and it works, I checked it.

The filter has been in use since 12/07 and is kinda gray and has never gotten wet.

Comments?

^^^same here, not going to replace it if I don't have to.

Do you guys blow yours out? I have always felt this can damage the filter media.....

You're never suppose to blow out air filters.. it cause the particles to "slice" thru the filter creating larger holes which actually allow more dirt to get thru.... imagine sticking a tooth pick thru a slice of cheese.. when you remove it you have a large hole.... get it? when the filter gets dirty.. throw it out!

^^^Yeah, I agree.

We used to blow out the outer filter at the Cement Plant on the 970 and 980's, but it also had an inner filter we would only replace.

I didn't think blowing out a single filter would be a good idea.
