Really, I will be taking a trip to my local store to get one if they are offering lifetime warranties on them.

I have replaced 5 sets of front brake pads under the lifetime warranty at Auto Zone - no questions asked.
I replaced my steering box and alternator with lifetime units.

I just call and asked about the Part# This is what they told me fit a 1999, 2500 with a 5.9 #E7153 @ $160.00 plus tax.

They told me you now had to replace the fuel filter and strainer to get the lifetime warranty.

I have a 99 with 312,000 miles on it.
Still have the original VP44, I only replaced the lift pump once.
The alt. had 240,000 miles on it and still charged alright, bearings were starting to make a little noise when turning by hand.
The steering box sprung a leak at somewhere around 210,000 I just changed out the unit.
The water pump went to somewhere around 250,000 miles before it started leaking.

I called Rocky Mt Cummins in Alb. I asked the price for a OEM style lift pump and they said 179.00. What is up with that. I would prefer the 65.00 one. Are any aware of some major upgrade?

There is one listed in the classifieds.

Ignore the fact that I say I will take it. I just worked a deal for two OEM lift pumps so I don't need to get that one.

do you have that pump still? im in rome, ga so shipping would be cheap.

i bought my 2001 2500 with 115000miles on it and i dont know if anything was ever replaced before i bought it. i was thinking that it would be a good idea to go ahead and replace the lift pump as a safety precaution since i dont have fuel pressure gauge to keep tabs on the current set up
