So I have much less turbo boost when I floor it..I have checked the codes, checked for leaks. the whole 9 yards...I am wondering if the actuator diaphragm is week and needs to be replaced? Perhaps the waste gait blows open when I accelerate? Anyone ever use this apparatus? Am I wrong or just a dumb hod looking for a fix ? Doc

 

before dropping $200 on anew wastegate.. check to see if the old one works..or check to see if your wastegate is stuck...

from under the pass side wheel you can get a good shot of pb blaster on the back side of the turbo where the waste gate lever is located... I soaked mine down a few times a week after a nice short drive... mine is no longer stuck....

I'm not sure on the 02's but if you can pop of the hose that connects the waste gate and turbo, you can apply regulated air to the wg until it pops open... when mine was stuck it would barely move with 40psi!... no it opens at about 27 ish..

 

I have one on my 02 and it works pretty good seeing how its gated at 30 psi
