bad crank sensor

I HAD MY TRUCK PULL A CODE P0336

SAID BAD CRANK SENSOR

just wondering if any one else has encountered this?

my 99 had the check engine light come on took it to dealer it threw the same code. I think $130 to get it replaced.

Its a fairly common problem on the early 24-valvers. its at the top of this list.

Had to do my at 110k. Tach was erratic, had a stumble or two in the engine and the water temp gauge would go up and down when the tach was on the fritz.
