Automatic transnmission - Not TC I think

My auto has been doing weird things the last few days. I have been through the TC lock/unlock thing at around 50 mph and this is not that. When the truck sits for a day or so it will accelerate fine to 60-70 mph. After that it will "chatter". it feels like a TC, but does it under all throttle positions. The only way I can get it to stop is to drop it out of OD and run at 65 mph for a few minutes. When I go back to OD it behaves. It will then run normally untill parked for a day or so. I already did the battery cable connections. It alsmost seems like internal leakage?? I did a VB kit 7,000 miles ago with no apparent issues.

I figured something out, but I don;t know what it means. If I let the truck idle in gear for a minute or so before taking off it drives great. If I don't, the TC chatters. Does this sound fluid related and not electrical?

I read on another posting about water level in the batteries effecting the TC control. When I checked the battery water level, it was low. I topped them off and the problem went away.

I want to interupt you, as you talk to yourself!!!

What you decribe is a torque converter leaking down overnight. It slowly drains into the pan. This then takes a few seconds to refill. Usually 30 -45 seconds.
This is a trait of the dodge auto's, it really means the converter bushing is getting loose( it could be other things), and really won't cause you a problem if you start the Cummins, let it idle in neutral for 30-45 seconds. I have seen tired fluid cause this too.
Ok, you can continue with this conversation by yourself!!!
