Auto Tranny 1998

Hi guys, this is my first post. I have a 1998 auto tranny with 156000 Km's. A week ago it starting acting up. I will be driving and all of a sudden it seems like the tranny is trying to find a gear. It is now doing it more and more. Any ideas here that might help me out on what it could be.

1st have you checked the fluid level?
It should be checked running in neutral.

I have checked the fluid and it is at the right level and the colour of the fluid is fine.

Could this be the TC unlocking and locking around 50 mph? May be caused by electrical noise. Clean battery terminals and call DTT for a noise filter.

PS. reread your post and see you are in Vancouver. I drove from Texas to Abbotsford B.C. to see the best trannie man in North America - Bill Kondolay of DTT - 1 866 504 4002 -
All the answers to your questions are right in your back yard.

Now if that isnt a good endorsement, I dont know what is.

I have yet to hear any bad stories about DTT. Im looking at a different truck with an auto....and may be visiting Bill in the future.

A word of warning...upgrades aint cheap....leave your wallet at home until the initial shock wears off.
