Exclamation Auto gear indication not correct

On my 2000 dodge the gear position indicator is not correct (N=D) and it won't go down to 1 on the indicator. Its just natural to find D but its a little annoying. Has this happend to any of you?

This happened to mine.
Remove the plastic panel under the steering column.
Look for an adjustment wheel that moves the pointer. May be around the key area but not sure.
The pointer is moved with a flexible line if I remember right that stretches as it ages.
Find the adjuster and move that pointer where it belongs.

The adjuster will be below the column on the left side. Looks like a little thumbwheel. When you make the adjustment make sure you check the indication in all gear positions. Sometimes when you fix one end of the range the other end is hosed up.
