Asking for problems?

OK guys, give it to me strait. I am getting very close to purchesing this truck.

2001 2500 CTD 4X4, H.O., 6 speed
thruck has Edge Comp, 4" exh., cold air intake and stage two injectors
Original clutch, original injector pump and original lift pump
Has 89K miles

Am I asking for trouble? Can anyone with a simular truck tell me what to look out for?

id also be wary of that stock clutch - but i just replaced mine

with that comp on there, if they've pulled much or "raced" it, the clutch may not have a lot of life left in it.....i bought my truck with close to the same amount of miles as the one your lookin at. made it to 112,000 and it was done (clutch). cant say how the feller who owned it first drove it, but i think i was pretty easy on it really. heaviest haulin i do is 2-3 snowmobiles and no hot roddin'
oh yeah, the guy that owned my truck first had a comp on it. took it off when he sold it. i put the EZ on it.

good luck. soon you'll be like the rest of us - lovin it and tryin to figure out what to mod next

here's my take on it.... with all the hi-per stuff on it and the original clutch, i would think it was well cared for. just a thought. good luck

Mine came with some good stuff that I didn't end up having to buy anyway so consider that. If blowby doesn't puff like a steam engine out the valve cover with the oil cap removed, you should have something to work with...if codes are ok, the lift pump pressure is ok, the clutch don't slip on a 4th gear nail and the rods ain't swapping journals
Is the transmission quiet? Mine is.
