APPS replacement

Are there any buggaboos that a person needs to know about replacing an APPS? Sometimes it is better to ask than learn the hard way. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
I have an 02 by the way.

Be careful removing the ball & socket linkages.
There's only ONE way they'll come off without breaking.
