APPS died?
APPS died?
Was driving, my truck lurched a couple times, and after clutching, it dropped to idle and the check engine light came on. No response from the accelerator pedal now, I had to idle the rest of the way home. When I turned my key off, the truck kept running, I had to pull the engine fuse to kill the truck, and when I put it back in, I heard my lift pump kick on for a second.
Engine code is:
P0121 - Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance
I'm almost positive my APPS died, but before I try to get a new one, can anybody think of another reason this would happen?
2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins 24 valve, the only mods to the truck are 4 inch turbo back MBRP exhaust, AFE intake, and Edge Juice w/ Attitude

First thing you could try is resetting the APPS.
If you want to try they, then you disconnect the batteries for at least 30 minutes with the key in the on position.
Then turn the key off, and reconnect the batteries.
Then turn the key to the on position (not start, just on).
Then slowly press the throddle all the way down and back once, very slowly.
then turn the key off..
the apps has been reset.
