Well its not the APPS?
Installed a new APPS the other nite. Got a wholesale buddy of mine got it for $335. Took about 30 minutes for whole install.
Well the truck at 35 in 3rd and 50-55 in OD will show the same symptoms. Its like the truck is defueling, or cutting out. Accelrate and the problem either goes away or continues for a short then goes away. Still no codes being left in the computer.
I'll check LP pressure tommorrow, but I dont beleive that is the problem. Lift pump is only 3 months old.
I guess I'll drive it till it craps out on me. Just hope Im not in BFE! >

Re:Well its not the APPS?
I would have checked my fuel pressure for sure. You just never know when your lift pump is going do die. Not only that, but you need to keep checking it over time because I've heard of some that are intermittent and they may show good fp at one time, and poor fp the next. Not good for your injection pump either.
Re:Well its not the APPS?
What are you referring to when you say "APPS"? I thought that was the sensor at the back of the intake. Are you talking about the engine PCM? Sorry I don't know all of the terms yet.<br><br>Chris

Re:Well its not the APPS?
Right behind your top radiator hose under the plastic covering is the APPS (Accellerator Pedal Posistion Sensor).
I have already relibrated several times .
Funny thing - The other day before i changed it out it was defueling very badly. Could not get over 50 MPH (had loaded trailer). I recalibrated and truck recovered and I got home to install new sensor. Recalibrated twice before symptoms quit. I ran great for 1 1/2 days and then started acting up again.
I'll find it the problem or it will find me.

I know you dont want to hear this but you may need to have the ECM checked. The book sure is leaning in that direction for what i'm seeing from your problems

Re:Well its not the APPS?
Installed new Speed Posistion Sensor in transmission. This sensor helps out with the cruise control. Engine code 1596 - which dealer said had nothing to do with it. Well the mechanic at Coastal Diesel Injection in Corpus Christi rplaced it and removed all code and it runs fine.
