Went to the Dealer today to get the APPS replaced. My truck is 2001 w/85K miles on it. Dealer says the APPS is not covered under warranty; only the engine wetted parts and pump. I asked the Service Manager how the engine was supposed to operate if the ECM did not know where the throttle position is. I told him if I had to pay for the APPS, I could install it myself. I guess I'll soon be my own warranty station.

 

Get it from a CUMMINS dealer and save yourself big $$$! It takes less then an hour to put it on.

 

I was told that the APPS is an OEM part ??? Does anyone know who makes the APPS looking for one that meets cummins specs for 99 manual.
