Have you heard of filtering used tranny fluid and mixing with diesel to save money on fuel?

I think there are a number of people on here alone using it.

I read lots on here and you DON'T want to burn tranny fluid. Too many cleaning agents, etc. Especially on our VP's that are running on borrowed time anyways....

Good used motor oil that you know where it came from, maybe, if its well filtered, etc. But the bit you'd save on fuel, versus a new injection pump and a tow job, you'd have to crunch the numbers and see if the risk is worth it to you.

The risk is not for me...

Just my .02

I heard it was good for you to add 1 qt of new tranny fluid to a full tank of fuel once in awhile. Dont know if it is true or not.

I don't see any problem using it other than the color. If you get the tank dipped by the authorities and they see the red color it may cost you $10,000.
My 95-12valve loved it. A quart in the tank and it would get 2-3 MPG better each and every time.
This 02 doesn't do any better, so I don't put anything red in it.

p-pump is totally different from the vp and cp-3. trans fluid is not designed to mix with other fluids. try 2-cycle engine oil or a fuel treatment both are designed to mix well with fuel

I think from reading many posts, that Tranny fluid is not meant to burn in a diesel, certainly not not Gen2 or later, maybe not even Gen 1. 2 cycle oil seems to be the recommended(Itis designed to burn) and, perhaps, Power Servce , Lucas, or other similar additive.

I would not use any automatic transmission fluid in any diesel motor. Tranny fluid does not completely burn. Try to burn some on a steel plate, you just end up with a black almost tar-like mess. I wouldn't want to see that stuff stuck on my valves, pistons, and injectors etc.

I used it to prime my old 7.3 all the time but I have seen my best mpg per dollar from adding a bottle of 2 stroke per fillup
