another auto to manual question..

still searching for all the things i need, i was told that the chip would still work with the manual in...however i got to reading about the differnt turbos between autos and manuals....will that cause any problems for me if im running my stock turbo from the auto, with a manual trans???? i would like to upgrade eventually anyways, but id like to get the manual swap all done and working before i spend any more money on other things..unless that turbo will give me problems and it has to be done id like to find out before tearing it apart...thanks

I would think your stock HY35 would work just fine with only mild performance increases. It would be easier to monitor with gauges though. If you decide to upgrade the performance any further, do the turbo first, but I can't see the transmission conversion hurting anything.

You need the tranny, clutch, clutch master cylinder/lines. pedals, shifter, shifter console, hole in floor. correct length drive shafts, and if its a 4x4 you will need to change the input shaft in the transfer case. that pretty much covers it i believe...i was told the bellhousing off the auto will work, and was also told that the ecm and pcm will be fine. that subject has been argued alot but i talked to a guy on here that did the swap to a 24 valve and he said his worked fine without..so thats what im going by...
