does any one know where i can get a brush set for my bosch alternator, i have over 170000 miles on it and i should replace them.....

Both Specialize in starter and alternator service parts for CTD's.

 

I got mine from Car Quest. Can't remember witch alternator I have. But it was less than $20.

 

With that many miles, why not rebuild it. It would be cheaper in the long run.
I've done mine @ every 100K and keep a spare, junk yard is a good source.
Keeping track of COLD battery voltage is a positive. When the condition of the batteries get below 12.5 volts, it strains the alt.
I would like to know who makes the batteries for Dodge, I'm still using my
origionals.

 

On the batteries, if they are the ones with the white sides and green eye i believe they were made by panasonic. I think thats what was on mine when i had to change them.
