I know I know lots of questions.
Chase
[/quote]
1200. You could manipulate the bracket, I guess, but you don't need more than 1200 really, and anything less is not worth it.

Mike
Re:AIC ?
Boy the stuff you guys are talking about makes my stick and powerseat trick seem really lame. :-[

I use a nice thin peace of red oak out of the scrap box at home and just wedge it inbetween the seat and the Go pedal. To idle up you move the seat closer to the pedal to idle down you move the seat back. 8) For as often as I need High Idle it works great and didn't cost me a thing.

Re:AIC ?
DarrellB- Ya. sometimes us Cummins guys can make the simplest things difficult!!! Seriously though, in my case, I leave my truck running for long periods of time, and am constantly in and out. So the stick thing, even thogh extremely simple and a nice price, doesn't work very good for me. (I do have a Jetta diesel that has the "chunk of poplar 2x4" option though. Couldn't afford to upgrade to red oak!!!)
Re:AIC ?
BJK, yep I have been Found out now, I was once the owner of a PSD and a member of CTFD. Still talk on the Ford site alot to keep up with people and trends. And I did try the 2X4 thing but I couldnt find a good storage place inside. I guess I have to much junk in the cab. I think I am going to break down and buy the thing from Harold, all my Ideas seem like a lot of trouble.
Chase
Re:AIC ?
Well I gave Harold a call and he said it would take about 3 weeks to get the kit since he was in Arizona but he would send it when he got home. Grand total was 41.00 for shipping and all.
Chase
Re:AIC ?
Dang, that's cheeper than the one I made for my old PSD, and you aint got to do no leg work rounding up all the parts, then figure out how to install the dang thing! How would I go about getting me one?

Yea it doesn't get too cold around here any more, if I'm only going to be a 1/2 hour of so I just let it idle at 800rpms. If I'm going to be longer I shut it down.
One nice thing I do like is my keyless entry. I have to key fob on a seperating keychain and I can lock my door and go inside and don't have to worry about someone taking off in my truck. 8)
I went all out on my stick, I stained it and put a couple coats of varnish on it.

Re:AIC ?
If I am going to be more than 5 min but less than half hour, I hi idle it if I don't want to wait for EGT to go down. Longer than that I shut it down. Unless it is cold out, like less than 10 deg.

I would never let it idle @ 800 for 30 min when cold out.

Mike
Re:AIC ?
Well I got mine from Harold today and this thing is schweet (eric cartman voice) 8), havent needed to use it yet but did just for the heck of it. The darn truck is loud at 1100 from behind. It took about an hour to install(had a little problem with the switch fitting where I wanted it but is was nothing a paddle bit didn't fix). I will post some pics of the install tomm. Battereies were dead on the digital when I was at lunch putting it on.
