Aftermarket APPS from Timbo1
Well I spoke to soon, each time I try a new fix everything works fine for a few days then comes back. The wire wrap worked fine temporarily. I think it's time to pull the alternator and have it checked by a reputable shop.
Thanks for all the suggestions, will report findings.

TC Drop out
Well I removed alternator and had it tested, tested fine. Reinstalled so back to square one. I have replaced apps, cleaned grounds, foiled wire loom over alternator. My battery's are four years old so maybe they are the problem?
After installing alternator headed to battery store but TC worked fine on the way so decided to give it a week or so. Two weeks and all is well. Conclusion is the alternator case was not making good contact with the bracket and the removing and install cleaned it enough to start working. Hope this may help someone with the same problem.
Kudos to all.

Okay . . .
Just shielded the alternator wire, replaced the ground wire from the block to the passenger side battery and installed a new battery terminal. Drove it around for about 15 minutes, and no sluggish response, no dead pedal.

The DTT noise filter killed my hunt problem. If you have tried all the cheap fixes like cleaning grounds and testing everything then this is most likely the fix for you. Worked immediately. Cost me $200 and took the guy all of a few minutes to do. He actually keeps several of the filters in stock since it is such a common problem.
I think most posters are missing the point...
Replacing the APPS will not cure TC hunting issues,(only a very very small % are faulty with out tripping a fault code)
You replace the APPS because you have a code that says the APPS is faulty, and buying one from a dealer is way overpriced, thus the reason to buy a timbo APPS
just throwing parts at a problem is not a way to fix a problem

as far a the torque converter locking and unlocking i have been fighting this issue for over 8 months. this problem was on my dads 99, he had the tranny rebuilt and every since then the converter has been doing this between 40 and 70+ mph. the transmission shop fought with it, and they even went as far as saying it was the timbo apps i put on it (which works perfectly). after several attempts at cleaning the grounds, checking batterys, new alternator, the problem ended up being a metalic sludge built up around the end of the speed sensor thats located on the transmission tail housing. i honestly didnt think that was the problem cause my scanner showed it to be operating just fine. i cleaned it off and now everything works as it should. just thought i would throw that out there for everyone.
I just ordered Tims APPS, But Is there a Homemade Noise filter that I can make.
"A filter is a capacitor to ground, and they are cheep but I don't know what size or type. Any one have a suggestion?"
PS I just called a Electronics place and they are going to seee if they have a capacitor for this purpose, and call me back

Thanks , Just ordered one. Got Tims TPS and a BD noise isolator on the way
My truck has been surging like it momentarily jumps out of lock up, RPMs jump up about 200 rpms then back down. TBS reset proceedure was working for a couple months put now reset doesnt help. Had a couple times of momentary dead throutle/bucking too recently
Tightened all my grounds and rapped some foil on my wires didnt seem to help
Hope the new TBS and Isolator fixes it

Add me to the list of satisfied Timbo customers. I had an APPS code and a MAP sensor code. after and intermittent dead pedal. I figured it was time to get the new APPS, so I ordered Timbo's. I got mine and installed it per the directions. I then found out about behaviors I didn't know my truck had. First, the locking and unlocking of the TC at speeds around 47-53 mph that I was told was dirty grounds, practically went away. It still happens now and then, and I will get to cleaning the grounds, but it acts MUCH better in this department.
Second, I found that now the TC does not unlock i9mmediately when I let off the pedal the TC stays locked until it gets close to the minimum lockup speed for that gear (third or OD). It's almost like having an exhaust brake. I guess the signal is so clean from Timbo's unit the computer can do this.
I am impressed, and had I known, I would have bought this long before I had codes. The MAP sensor code went away and has not returned. I have been running Timbo's unit for about two weeks now.
