99 left me stranded

I was driving the Crematories 99 Dodge today. Going down the highway at 55 it just died, then the CEL came on. Pulled over, got it to fire ran intermidently, missing and sputtering as I nursed it to a safe place to park.

Most of my experience is with my first gen (92) so I am clueless about the VP44's. Boss had me have it towed to the ***********.

check the codes, have advance or auto zone hook it up for you and read them. Then tell us what u got. Sounds like it could be the vp, but who knows till we know more.

If I had to put money on it I'd say the VP$$ gave up. Mine did the same thing, 55 mph cruising down the road then nothing, wouldn't even fire. Had to go down with a trailer and haul it back.

Yep, Ate the VP-44. Had it replaced by the local injector pump shop instead of the <edit>.
