99 blocks True or False

99 blocks True or False

I have heard that the 99 blocks have an issue cracking once over 100k. Is there any truth in this.
Let me know what you have heard.

All blocks that are a #53 casting can. The years span more than just 99.

Where do you look to see if it's a 53 block? I have a 99 but it must not be a 53 block because it still runs great at 230,xxx miles

That is exactly what I was looking for.
I hear people talking and they talk like they are cracking, and causeing the engine to fail.

The engine doesn't actually stop running, or even run worse, unless you don't watch the temp gauge and let it overheat. It just leaks like a sieve.
