Gf's truck is a 98.5 5 speed that wont start. New batteries and starter. Had to pull start it this morning. Could it be the clutch safety switch? A little help is appreciated.

Maybe a few more details does it try to turn over?

 

Well it wouldnt start last night. No turnover. But it started today, no problem.

 

How long did it sit before it would not start maybe a battery drain.

 

if it's a 24v has the tach been acting up? check engine light on? if so, the odd start could be due to a crank shaft position sensor like mine was. It would turn over but was just like it wan't getting fuel.

Do you crank on it or does is just do nothing when you turn the key?
