94 2500 CTD 4x4 - What to look for?
Please delete this thread. Posted in wrong area.
I am going to look at a 94 2500 regular cab 4x4 automatic CTD. It has about 221k on it. The guy said it has a new track bar and some other front end pieces (not ball joints) and the motor is stock except air filter and silencer ring. Its a laramie with all the power options and such.
What kind of things should I be looking for. I know more about the 3rd gens than 2nd gens.
Thanks,
Nick

Well since you're looking at a '94, it has a 12v motor, so you'd be better off posting this in the 12v section.
Take it for a long test drive, and drive it a little bit harder than you normally would. Make sure the truck is cold when you go to drive it, sometimes people will try to hide stuff like hard-starting when cold, transmission problems, etc. by having the truck all warmed up by the time you get there. Re-Post this in the 12v section and you will get a lot more input though.
