"53" Block

Hey, I have found this great truck about 7-8 hours from me. It is a Jan 99 3500. I am worried about the block being a 53 and cracking. It is too far for me to go to check it out. I asked the owner to look, but he evidently didn't understand where I was talking about looking. He sent me a picture of the door sticker and the side of the valve cover. Is there any easier way to tell if it has the 53 other than looking from under the truck? I definitely do not want to worry about the block cracking, I worry enough as it is. I am buying the next one to last me a long long time and to pull my camper.
Thanks for any help.
PS. It is in Lake Charles La. if anyone lives around there and could look at it for me.
Chris

All right, he got the numbers off of the block. Here they are, I believe this may be a treasured Mexican block? Is this right? He said these numbers were on the side right above the oil pan.
Thanks

Sounds like he looked in the right place.
If that's the only numbers he saw, then you are doing ok.

I think mine has a series of numbers similair to those.

Pretty sure all the "53" blocks have on them is the 53.
