5 speed swap thread

Well, ive decided that im gonna do the nv4500 swap on my truck, its got a crappy jasper auto in it now and im tired of it. Ive found a parts truck locally for super cheap but its a v10 4x4, exact same truck as mine except its a 97 v10 5 speed 4x4, where mine is a 98.5 diesel auto 4x4, is the bell housing on the nv4500 in the v10 truck the same as the ones that mate to a diesel?

The bellhousing is exactly the same. Same part number actually.
The NV4500 is the heavy duty model, the same as the diesel.

Everything behind the engine is the same as the diesel model. The only exception might be the drive shaft length because the auto's and manuals could have different rear axles.

That V10 will be the ideal donor truck as you'll need the clutch petals, hydraulic clutch release, interior shift lever floor trim and other parts.

How do I know?
I swapped a Cummins into a previously V10 and it was a simple swap. I had to change the under hood wiring harness, radiator and such, but you won't have to.
