i'm new here so i don't know if this is the place to ask this forum, i;ve never own a diesel before and was wondering if anyone knows where i can get a engine breakdown of the cummings diesel, i'd like to know where stuff is on my engine and what the part is called, thanks

You need to let us know what model year your truck is...there a many variations on the 5.9.

This will get you started.

You really need to get a factory service manual for your truck, it is the best way to learn these things. Unfortunately, places like Genos garage don't have them on CD any longer ( for your year at least ), but creative searching of the web will find a download.......
