48re valvebody in 47re

Someone brought to my attention that a 48re valvebody can be used in a 47re tranny.

What are the benefits of doing this over a shift kit, if there are any?

It is my understanding that the valvebodies are the same.

48RE is different...stronger....will replace 47RE....at least DTT is doing it to beef up trannys with high HP.
