What do you mean "crooked" ? I have always used B&M shift kits when I wanted to improve (stiffen) shifts
If they are warped how did thet get warped?

Well one is because of a bad local tranny rebuider not torquing to spec never going back there...The others i'm guessing overheating one has unknown history... What i now find curious is tranny rebuilder told that the casing is broken and valvebody is warped... but replacement casing has a warped valvebody too and probly wants to sell one at insane prices....

The broken casings is kinda why i need something that shifts smoothly since always doing rev to 1 then back to rev all the time pushing snow all the time is very hard on a tranny....

I've been rebuilding/building 727's (and others) for 20 years and I dont think I've ever seen a warped VB out of a 727/904. I have seen the check ***** wear through the seperator plate but not warped.

I found someone claiming to have a good body but says this:
Well, the only way we can put it together to match a diesel application is to put a shift kit in it.

This is after i asked if it was perfecly straight before that all was fine but not guaranteed...

I'm wondering if a normal 727 valvebody for tf 727 car trannies can be used with and adjustable shift kit? Anybody had any experience with that ?

Depending on who's "shift kit" you buy you can custom taylor shift points etc. There are different springs that you can buy to change the governor too. If you talk to someone who designs these units the can set you up. I have piles of 727's floating around, what year are you looking for? Give Dave Goerend a call, he is a great guy and works with the Diesel automatic trannies. 563-778-2719

Well not sure what year i should be looking for but its a 90 3 speed nonlockup. I will give Goerend a call since nobody in canada has any that are guaranteed to be good non warped.
As soon as i mention broken casing ppl seem to run away in chaos....however i have a good casing now.

What about SMR transmissions in Canada? Pat Story is the owner and he has always been good to me?

Thank you ! Also found out why it warped... With all the metal shavings from broken casing it blocked the valvebody and that's how it overheated.

Yea but then again had no choice 50 cm's of snow in 2 pases 12hrs of snow removal ahead including commercial properties and no spare.... I beleive its the back pulling (back dragging corners etc) that killed it however after the last time it was fixed you couldnt let the truck parked in a not so steep hill or the park would disengage and you'd see the truck waiving goodbye as your running behind...
