47re pan gasket

From what I understand, the later model trucks have a reusable OEM pan gasket. For those that have changed their tranny fluid & filter, how many reused the existing pan gasket. I'm going to service my transmission fluid & filter in the near future and I was wondering if I should go ahead and buy a new pan gasket along with a filter. I will be buying the stuff at my dealer's since I get a discounted price. My truck has about 31k miles on it and is pretty much stock.

The re-useable gaskets are not made of cork. More of a rubber type gasket. As long as the gasket is not hard and dried out, you should still be able to use it, if you have it.

I've re-used the one on my truck twice, but the one I use on the race car has been off/on at least five times now. Great gasket!!
