Thanks Blues but I did have the bands adjusted when I last had the trans serviced. Even then they werent very far out of spec to begin with. It never solved anything.

Plus with the ammount of shavings that was in my pan I know its just time to pony up and get the thing replaced.

 

have 1999 2500 will shift fine if I stop and kill it, restart it will not shift
