2nd gen engine fan hub

Has any of you had any issues with your fan hub or had too replace it ? Mine seems too come on to often an stay on to long even after engine has cooled down. An when running the A/C it just stays on except maybe on the interstate . Its not locked up I mean with the motor shut off it turns an has that fluid feel . I know theres PRO's an cons about going Electric but I haven't heard much about these OEM units . I just don't like running the engine through such a wide temp swings .

If the fan clutch is turning as described there is nothing wrong with it and a lot of guys that run the electric fans say they don't provide the cooling efficiency of the stock fan, and they run over $400!

You may want to pull and clean your radiator if your truck still has the puke bottle in place.

You may also consider checking your thermostat.

I would also recomend checking radiator for cold spots after engine reaches operating temp. Would indicate radiator internally plugged.

Good ideal Big Iron My son has got one of those infrared heat detection guns . The truck dozen't over heat though if anything the fan keeps it to cool don't really know how to too check the fan clutch itself ? I'll make sure on that core though.

i had the same problem, and it was KILLING my fuel mileage! so i went with an actual CUMMINS thermostat i believe it was a 180F thermo but ya that solved my problems.
