2500 rpm Smoke Screen

Coming home from work tonight I got in a hurry and brought the rpm up higher than I usually do - to about 2500 / 2600 rpm. When I did this, I noticed a big cloud of smoke was left behind as soon as the engine reached this speed, and then it cleared up. I slowed down and tried it again, same thing. It is still pulling hard and I don't feel anything when it happens. The smoke looked browner than the usual black soot I leave behind from a quick start too. Only engine mod is an Edge EZ.

Any ideas why this happens? Anybody else notice this?

Thanks everyone in advance for any and all replies.

You might have a boost leak. Check the passenger side lower boot, it rubs on the fender and will eventually leak.

Thanks Yarddog. I don't think it is a torn boot (I have looked at it and don't hear anything unusual), and it only does this when I hit that RPM. It is about a 2 second blast of smoke and then it clears up. Maybe I just need to get on that BHAF thing so it doesn't run out of air and smoke the world out at 2600 spins/minute.
